This weekend has been so crazy but crazy GOOD!!!!
It all started on Saturday afternoon when Missy and I attended the Marathon Expo.
Nissan invited both of us and fellow bloggers Jess, Lauren, Patty, and Tracy to learn more about the Nissan Leaf and enjoy some pre marathon festivities…
First we learned about the Nissan Leaf…
Here are some things I learned about the Leaf…
- 100% electric - no gas required
- Zero tailpipe emissions/Zero Emissions Vehicle
- partially recycled light gray cloth seat fabric
- range - 100 miles/charge based upon US EPA LA4 City cycle2
- speeds up to 90 mph
- 5 passengers, 5 doors
We were also lucky enough to meet Olympic/ Marathon runner Ryan Hall!!!!!!!! Who was super nice!!!!!
Totally unrelated…if you are an avid So You Think You Can Dance viewer, you might recognize this guy! I couldn't help but take a picture with him!
After the Expo, we all went to Strala Yoga for a private yoga session with Michael Taylor (husband of Tara Stiles). He was such a great teacher!
This class was amazing!!!!!! I usually do yoga at home but after this class, I realized how much I have missed the class setting…I think I will be going back for more!!!!!!!
After the Yoga Class we were whisked away to Central Park for the Pre Marathon Dinner!!!!!!!!
I can’t even describe the energy in this room…
AND just when I thought things could not any better…Nissan Supplied us with Bleacher seating at the Finale of the Marathon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This was such a great day and I owe it all to Nissan!!!!! Thank you for providing us with all these wonderful things!

Sunday Morning I woke up and I kid you not, it felt like Christmas morning!!!!!!
I had two passes to the Marathon so I decided to bring my boy…
Missy also had tickets so we all went together….
We arrived in Central Park, and I jumped around like a little girl!
I even spotted the Dominican Flag!
We found our seats and then enjoyed the pre-marathon entertainment…
He did this with one leg!!!!!!!
Then everyone started to arrive!!!!!
First the Wheelchair contestants arrived at the finish line…
Then the elite women made their way down to the finish line!!!!!
And then the elite men!!!!!
And then the waves of people came!
I never cheered so much in my life!
Ayer was such a wonderful day!!!!! and It only reminded me how much I love to run! This morning it was windy, raining, and hailing…and all I wanted to do was put on my sneakers and RUN! AND I DID!
I don’t know if I am on a runners high but I want to do the 2012 marathon!!!!!!
Namaste…
