I have not gone running since January 2nd and decided to go out today for a run since I signed up to do Coogan’s again this year. Can you believe it has been 1 year? Time is seriously flying by…back to my run…
I ignored the fact that it was below 30 degrees and felt like it was in the teens…I even ignored the fact that I had a fever of 102.8 two days ago…I got dressed and headed out the door.
Walking to the park was not that bad but once I started to run, I could feel the cold air hitting my chest and the wind was literally pushing me back. After taking a hiatus of almost 2 months, this was a really hard run. I wanted to quit so many times but I kept repeating “Just one foot in front of the other”
Here are my splits:
Mile 1: 11:03
Mile 2: 10:45
Mile 3: 10:46
Average Pace: 11:01
Best Pace: 07:38 min/mi
I ended up running 2.76 Miles in 30 minutes and 20 seconds (and walked an additional 2.14 to and from park)
I am not sure how well I am going to do at Coogan’s but I am going to give it my all and that is all that matters…
After my run, I came home and refueled with a Green Monster made with Spinach, Strawberries, Almond Milk, LMM, and Coffee
Right now I am enjoying this deeeelish bowl of Papa Namaste Paste before I head to work at the gym…
