Monday Morning Rambles: Intentions For My New Year....
I love celebrating my birthday with a new tattoo and recently I just want to get allll the elephants on my body. Last week, I added the newest addition to my tribe and his name is Reagan. I am so in love....
Yesterday in yoga, someone asked why his trunk was up...I assumed everyone knew that the trunk being up represented "good luck". When the elephant's trunk is facing up, it is receiving good fortunes and some think that it is also showering you with good fortune.
On the actual day of my birthday, I decided to head to the beach alone and do sunrise yoga. I am a cancer and being close to the water makes me feel whole again.
After finishing my asanas...I decided to reflect on my past year and write down my intentions for my 37th year on this earth. I wanted to share a few of them with you....
Be happier
Be free
Take more chances
Truly love and accept myself
Open my heart for love
Be more forgiving
Treat my body and soul kinder
Share my love of yoga with others
Teach more yoga classes
Help others
Never doubt God's plan for me
Let people see the real me
I think the universe sometimes uses others as a vessel to send us a message and I believe that this happened yesterday. During philosophy, Mokshapriya spoke about our heart chakra and it went perfectly with my intentions because the main thing that I want to do is to open my heart to receive new love as well to truly love myself. Some things that she said stuck out to me, such as in order to open our heart, we must believe in something higher than ourselves and we also need to stop judging others and ourselves.
And yet another video below where I get a tad emotional...haha shocker.
