Monday began just as any other day, I picked up my camera and decided to do a FDOE on my vlog. Around 2:40, my niece sent a message in our group chat "I left" (school) and my sister replied "ok mama...be careful" and 20 minutes later my sister received a call from an EMT...my niece was hit by a car. She immediately called me and instinctively I facetimed my niece not knowing if she would answer, she did. The minute that I saw her, my heart broke. She was crying uncontrollably and she kept wailing "I looked both ways...I looked both ways"
They live in New Jersey now, so my mom and I rushed over there...that was the longest car ride of my life.
I am so grateful that she is back home recovering from her injuries and I just want her to heal quickly; physically & emotionally. I pray that this doesn't crush her spirit and she continues to bring her light into this world because she is meant to shine.
